Frequently Asked Questions

Please refer to the pricing table and fees listed above for the most current rates for Private Swim, Private Adapted Swim, Aquatic Therapy, and Aquatic Bodywork.

Occasionally. Semi‑private lessons may be offered only when both swimmers are at the same skill level and when an instructor is available. Because progress can vary widely between swimmers, we do not recommend semi‑private lessons for children at different skill levels.

Yes — this is our specialty. We proudly serve children and adults who may have been overlooked or underserved in traditional programs. Many of our instructors have:

  • Allied health backgrounds

  • College education focused on special populations

  • Adaptive Swim Instructor certifications

Every instructor is trained and comfortable supporting students with unique needs, sensory differences, or individualized learning styles.

Please fill out the Enrollment request form at the top and the bottom of the page that tells us what you needs, time, location and general goals. Once we receive your request, we match you with an instructor or therapist based on your goals, availability, and location.

Your first session includes a swim with a Lead Teacher. This allows us to:

  • Assess current skills or mobility

  • Understand your goals

  • Create a personalized plan

  • Ensure the right instructor or therapist fit

We recommend bringing:

  • Swimsuit

  • Swim shirt if you or your child tends to get cold

  • Towel

  • Goggles (optional for swim lessons)

  • Any communication tools or comfort items your swimmer uses

  • Your instructor may request additional items depending on your goals.

Yes. Some Adapted aquatics with therapuetic goals are HSA‑reimbursable with a physician’s script. We can provide invoices and documentation upon request.

We ask that students notify us as soon as possible if they need to cancel. Students or clients with fewer than two absences per semester may qualify for our perpetual rate, which includes bi-semester billing and priority scheduling.

Make‑ups may be available depending on instructor availability and pool scheduling. We do our best to accommodate students, but availability is not guaranteed.

We match students based on:

  • Goals

  • Learning style

  • Sensory needs

  • Instructor specialty

  • Location and schedule

Our goal is always the best possible fit for safety, comfort, and progress.

Yes. We operate in Troy, Plymouth, and Northville during the school year, and we add additional mobile locations during the summer.

We serve all ages — infants, children, teens, adults, and older adults. Our programs are designed to meet each person exactly where they are.
